International Metal Service (IMS) has chosen the metal industry software specialist Invera to implement their enterprise product STRATIX across Europe in service centers located in 15 countries for over 800 users in a multi-currency and multi-lingual environment. With over 40 locations these countries include France, Germany, Italy, Austria, Belgium, Spain, Netherlands, Portugal, Czech Republic, Slovakia, and Sweden.

The service center group specializes in abrasion resistant products, corrosion resistant products, and long products for the engineering industries.

The implementation of STRATIX first began with a 10-month joint study of the specific requirements of the European service center industry. STRATIX now incorporates such European specific functionality as envelope formats, sales tax computations, date formatting, Imperial and Metric mechanical tests, and additional In-House Certificate formats to meet European standards.
   
To assist with the quoting process, IMS also implemented a full range of sawing and plate processing pricing. This allows a salesperson to take an order for a variety of commonly burned shapes (e.g. circles, rings, etc.) or an irregular shape for sketches, and provide an estimated burning cost and price to assist in building up the final price.

STRATIX is currently operating in English, French, Italian, and German based on the user login. All screens, reports, help text and error messages have been fully translated with Spanish translations to be added soon. All documents also print in the language of the vendor or customer.
