| Functions and Benefits |
| The implementation of the Enterprise
Resource Planning (ERP) software solution STRATIX was completed in four
months. A seamless integration of native metal industry terminology, functions
and features made STRATIX more user-friendly and easy to deploy with minimum
implementation costs.
The STRATIX software implementation included sales, purchasing, receiving,
inventory management, multi-step production, production scheduling, delivery
and logistics planning, invoicing, and financials.
The STRATIX software implementation also included a feature to scan the
Original Mill Certificate into STRATIX, in order to view the mill certificate
for a coil and sheet tag when viewing stock, and enable the automatic
printing or email of the Original Mill Certificate, based on the customer
profile, at time of shipping.
To handle customer repeat items produced to a specification, Flatrolled
Steel will use STRATIXcps, a STRATIX product that stores a comprehensive
set of information based on a Customer's Part Number. At Order creation,
the CPS parameters are pulled into the Order Item by selecting the appropriate
Customer Part Number, to speed up the Sales Order Entry process and prevent
user errors.
